The Word of God, the Logos, was with God during the moment when God created the universe. Whatever the reality of God is, the Word is part of that reality. Because the Word was with God at the very beginning, everything that was created includes the Word. There is no created thing that does not include the Word. The Word is full of life and that life is light for human beings. Such light shines even in darkness and no darkness can overcome it.
